Amendments & Corrections
The ledger of the ledger — this site’s own corrections, kept in the open: the same standard the audits applied to the Papers, applied to the house that published them.
The standing rule
This site holds itself to the standard it applied to the Papers. Every checkable claim is sourced. Every change is signed and dated. Every error is corrected in the open. A correction is never made silently: the original wording is struck where it can be struck, or plainly noted where it cannot; the correction carries its date; the reason is given. This page is the public record of those corrections.
The record
November 6, 2026 — A tally stated two ways (Family D)
The Family D audit’s printed summary says “twelve graded entries,” while its split-grade counts sum to 13 assignments — splits graded in halves and counted separately, as the method requires. Both numbers stand in this site’s record: the Family D page states the two figures in the audit’s own framing, and the wing table counts 13, so that Families C–K sum to 924 assignments. The discrepancy was recorded rather than smoothed over — a ledger that quietly rounds its own tallies has no standing to grade anyone else’s.
November 6, 2026 — A clause misdescribed in the work record (12:1.4)
During the consolidation work, the clause at 12:1.4 — the dark gravity bodies said to outweigh the grand universe — was at one point described in the work record as “still needs grading.” That was wrong: the Paper 12 audit had already graded it E3: UNTESTABLE — a ratio of unobservables, which no observation can corner. The record was corrected the same night, in the same ink, and the register now stands corrected.
November 6, 2026 — A footer that stopped being true
The site’s first build carried a footer claiming the site “runs no scripts.” That was true of the first build. When search was added — running entirely in the visitor’s own browser, on the visitor’s own device — the sentence became untrue, and a sentence does not stay up merely because it was once accurate. It was struck. The footer now reads: “This site sets no cookies and carries no trackers; its search runs entirely in your browser, on your own device.”
The honest boundary
The standard checks what can be checked: counts, dates, quotations, claims of fact. It cannot grade theology — the audits never did — and it cannot grade the editor’s judgment. A ruling is not true or false; it is owned, and it is signed. What this machine guarantees is answerability, not infallibility: everything here can be held to account, and the accounting is kept where anyone can read it.
Holding this house to account
A reader does not have to take this site’s word for any of it. Every family page names its full audit file. Every tally on this site is taken from the audits’ signed tally lines, not reconstructed. The edition’s every change is keyed to the signed grade that licensed it, in the text itself. And errors found by readers may be sent to the author — Contact: [to be added by the author] — and, when verified, will be entered on this page with the same ink: the original wording noted, the correction dated, the reason given.
